* Actions are being followed through properly

* Records are easy to retrieve

* Risks are understood consistently across departments

* The system feels operational rather than staged for the visit

And the opposite is usually obvious too.

You start hearing things like:

* “I’ll need to find that”

* “I think there’s a newer version somewhere”

* “We updated that recently”

* “The person who handled this left”

Good management systems leave evidence everywhere.

Not just in folders.

You see it in:

* behaviours

* decision making

* operational control

* leadership involvement
